Christmas

Christmas is so much on my mind. I feel like Santa Claus... I make lists and more lists... like what shall I get Randolph.... not quite sure he would appreciate lab coats... or would he?? Argh!!

Barbie!

A guy was driving home one evening when he suddenly realises that it is his daughter's birthday and that he hasn't bought her a present.Out the corner of his eye he sees a shopping mall. Knowing it is now or never, he pulls into the parking lot. After a frantic search he finds a toy store. He goes inside and attracts the attention of a sales clerk.When asked what he would like, he simply says, 'a Barbie Doll.'

The clerk looks at him in a condescending manner and asks 'Which Barbie Doll would that be, sir?'
The guys asks, 'So, what ones have you got?'
The clerk replies, 'We have Barbie Goes to the Gym for $19.95, Barbie Goes to the Ball for $19.95, Barbie Does Night Clubbing for $19.95 and Divorced Barbie for $265.00.'
The man is puzzled, and asks 'why is Divorced Barbie $265.00 when all of the other Barbies are selling for $19.95?'
'That's obvious!' says the clerk, 'Divorced Barbie comes with Ken's house, Ken's car, Ken's LA used office furniture, Ken's dog...'

Candles

Owen & I picked up a candle from Tesco. Admittedly it does not quite compete with designer candles like Circle E Candles.... but it gives off a chocolate scent... and was not expensive... mmmm!!

Teletubbies go to the office!!

La La used office furniture in their latest teletubbies program and do you know what happened? ....

Seriously.... did you really think I watched the teletubbies? I don't let Arthur watch teletubbies.... why would I be wasting my time with such drivel? Honestly!!

Christmas Candles

We set up our Christmas Tree today. I would love to have real candles like they had in the past. I am not talking Circle E Candles type but thin white candles. They have a name but I cannot remember what they are called. But they are too dangerous... and lighting them would be a Christmas Day only event!!

Taylormade

Have you heard of taylormade drivers? I know Taylormade is my local nail salon... though I was not aware that they offered a home service. Somehow I don't think we are talking nails!!

Work

I need to start working again. I miss The Joke Shop. We really used to do all sorts of things from Balloons to Jokes & Tricks (obviously) and from Wedding Favors to Costumes. The bit I miss the most is seeing it grow!

Growing

I wonder if grow lights are good for plants because they give off light or if they are also good because they emit heat? Here in IOM you need the light but you could do with the heat too!

Arthur's Baby Bedding

I have been wondering just what to do with all Arthur's baby bedding. It still occasionally useful but only occassionally! It will also be useful if I ever get pregnant again.... but when will that be?

Unique

I saw a "love beyond measure spoon" and thought it was such a unique wedding favor. I think it really says it all. I might get one as a romantic gift for Owen too.

Baby Clothes

Everytime I iron, I find clothes that Arthur has outgrown. So I put them away in case of a little brother for Arthur. I do hate putting away baby clothes. It reminds me just how quickly Arthur is growing. Honestly can you believe he will be 3 in just a couple of months time?

Baby Showers & Fancy Dress

I miss working on The Joke Shop. I often see things that remind me of it. It could be anything from Baby Shower Decorations to Fancy Dress items or even Balloons!

Baby Clothes

I went out shopping for some clothes for Arthur. Although they are really cute and tiny... they cannot be called baby clothes by any stretch of the imagination! I cannot believe I am buying him clothes age 3-4!

I want my "baby" back!

Memories

I came across a couple of wedding favors I got from the last wedding I went to in Malta. It is strange how a token gift can invoke so many memories. My favourite being of Arthur dancing with all the ladies!! He was only 2 but he must have pulled more girls than my brothers have in their lifetime. No mean feat!!

Yamaha! Pianos or Racing?

I was speaking to someone who is into racing and I seriously could not follow the conversation. He was going on about Yamaha rhino parts and it shot right over my head.

If you break it down this is what it becomes to me:-

Yamaha - Brand name for pianos!
Rhino - An animal
Parts - Bits

So nothing to do with racing in my opinion. No wonder I could not follow the conversation. But shhhh don't let on!!

Wedding Rings & Vows

I was wondering when you renew your vows, do you give a new ring? I was looking at Mens Wedding Rings and could not help wondering!

Arthur's Silver Baby Gifts

I was going through Arthur's Silver Baby Gifts and I got so nostalgic! I cannot believe that he will be 3 soon!

Baby Clothes

I cannot believe it, but Arthur no longer falls into the baby category. I was trying to buy him some new baby clothes.... and well.... he does not even fall into the toddler bracket let alone baby bracket. How sad is that?

NFL

I was looking at nfl sports apparel. I was wondering what is the difference between nfl team jerseys and official nfl jerseys?

I guess this proves that I am not a sporty person in the least. I feel sorry for poor Arthur having a parent like me with next to no clue about sports!

Golf Apparel

What do you buy a man who has everything he wants? I an stuck for a birthday present for Owen. If I don’t come up with something really quick, he could end up with my getting him some Mens Golf Apparel! (in case you are wondering… Owen does not play golf!)
